Soccer Jamboree 9/25

On Saturday the KESD 5/6 boys team had two matches in their second home jamboree. Although they weren't able to get a 'W', they fought all the way until the end of each game and didn't make it easy for their two opponents.

They faced off against St. J's 5th grade team and were down 4-0 by half time. The boys were able to find a late charge, winning the second half, but coming up a little short with the final score 6-3.The team was led with two goals from Graham Moriarty and one from Kellan Bristol. We made a few simple mistakes that the other team capitalized on and we had the opportunity to try some players in some new positions.

In the second match against the St.J's 6th grade team, our boys jumped out early and led for most of the game. However, in the final moments of the match, the other team pulled ahead and we couldn't quite counter attack.

Our boys made some great attempts and you could visually see their confidence grow within their play. The score could have been spread out more, if it wasn't for some great defensive plays and stops from our goalie squad and defensive backs/mids. The boys were led by goals scored from Grayson Bias and Graham in this close 3-2.
