7/8 Girls Basketball at Rivendell Academy

January 5th, 2022

The 7/8 girls KESD team played a very aggressive Rivendell team Wednesday night.

The KESD girls had the three balls flying nailing 3 of 4 triples in the first half. A close game saw KESD with a 13-8 lead at half time.

The Rivendell team pick up the defensive pressure in the 2nd half that led to them taking the lead for the first time, 18-17 to start the 4th quarter.

After getting off to a slow start offensively in the 4th, the KESD girls led by Brianna Bunnell, turned it around  outscoring Rivendell 8-2 in the final minute. Bunnell would score five in the final 33 seconds, including a game winning buzzer beater, to bring her total points scored to 15. Hayden D'Agostino hit a pair of 3s to add to the scoring. Makayla Savage led the team in rebounds with five, including two key defensive boards down the stretch. KESD would win the game 25-24.

Great job ladies!
