Junior Iron Chef & Odyssey of the Mind Competition 2023

March 20, 2023

ºÚÁÏÍø East Afterschool and Experiential Learning students were quite busy last weekend participating in state-wide competitions. Students from Lyndon Town School and Concord School displayed their cooking and teamwork skills during the 15th annual Vermont Afterschool Junior Iron Chef competition in Essex, Vermont and students from Burke Town School competed in the annual Odyssey of the Mind competition in Hinesburg, Vermont.

Our Junior Iron chefs exhibited great teamwork and received honorable mentions in the mise en place category. The Odyssey of the Mind team took second place in the competition and were only  1.5 points away from first place. They also received the OMER award, for their outstanding sportsmanship, exemplary behavior, or exceptional talent. These students had been working hard preparing for these competitions for over two months. We are so proud of their accomplishments.
