KESD-Lyndon 7/8 Girls Soccer v. Danville 9/17

The KESD-Lyndon 7/8 grade girls soccer team had their first game on Friday v. Danville, and they certainly rose to the challenge. With just 11 players, the team had no substitutes and couldn't take a break except at halftime. But the girls pushed hard with red faces and played great, managing to get the first goal, a beautiful slow roller into the bottom corner by Esme Cobb. With our goalie out of town, volunteers stepped up and did a great job, only allowing one goal and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. It was a great way to start the season!
