What is Cabin Fever Reliever??

This is a night to help families experience learning games and activities in the areas of literacy and math that they can enjoy at home.  The League of Leaders Team has planned this night for us to get families into the school and have a fun evening in the midst of winter. We want parents to understand how games and activities can support their child’s learning, foster positive relationships, and have fun as a family!   Cabin Fever Reliever is an evening event for Pre-K - 4.  We’re excited for more opportunities to bring our community into the school.  There are many ways for staff to contribute to this event.

Let’s Prepare!

  • Pre-K through 4th grade classroom teachers will work together as teams to provide at least one literacy game and one math game per grade level.  Games will take place in at least two classrooms of each grade level (at least one for literacy and one for math).  Teachers will be prepared to discuss with parents and caregivers about how the games support student learning.
  • 5th - 8th grade classroom teachers will be expected to support the STEAM/Science Fair in May.
  • Pre-K through 4th grade Special Educators and Interventionists will support grade-level teams as they plan activities.

  • Pre-K through 4th grade classroom teachers complete the table below with information about the rooms that will be used for Cabin Fever Reliever and a brief description of games and activities for each room.
  • All Other Professional Staff who work with Pre-K through 4th grade sign up for additional support roles throughout the building for Cabin Fever Reliever Night.
