LTS Winter Snowboarding & Skiing Program at Burke Mountain

September 18, 2023

Dear LTS Families,

We are excited to start planning for our Winter Sports Program at LTS Middle School. Please complete this form if your 6-8th grade student would like to ski or snowboard at Burke Mountain this year.

Starting mid January - tentative day of Thursdays starting 1/11/24, students who choose this option travel to Burke Mountain by bus, 6 times during the winter, for the entire school day. They will return to school in time for regular dismissal. All students take a lesson at the mountain and return to school in time for dismissal. Students bring and eat lunch at the mountain.

We plan to offer other options (such as Siskin, Ice Skating, etc.) but these are not confirmed yet. We do need your student to commit now if they would like to ski or snowboard, by completing these forms. If your student does not want to ski or snowboard, they will choose one of the other activities. That form will come out for signups in November. All students must participate in an activity.

Full scholarships are available for all activities (including skiing/snowboarding) if needed. We are partnering with Village Sport Shop to offer season ski and snowboard rentals to all skiers and snowboarders. This means that your student will have skis/snowboard, boots and a helmet that they can take home or use as they wish for the winter! We will do a rental fitting at school and the equipment can be stored at school if your student does not want to take them home. There is a cost to these rentals, but you can also choose a full scholarship below if that is a need for your family.

Please complete this form by the September 22nd deadline if your student wants to participate in skiing or snowboarding.

If you are interested in chaperoning or participating in any of these activities, there is a box below to apply. Prior volunteer registration approval & background check required to participate. Volunteers are responsible for the fees associated with rentals and ticketing. These will be available at the discounted rate offered to the school (limited availability) and must be paid for in advance.

If you are interested in signing your child up for this program, please submit your registration form by September 22nd using the registration button below.

Please note, there will be other winter activities offered for students who do not want to ski or snowboard at a later date. Those have not been confirmed yet so we want to encourage students to sign up for the mountain.

For questions, please contact the LTS office.
